I was very excited to connect with Matthew Falls in August. Matt is the Chapter President of the MIT Enterprise Forum for the Washington, DC and Baltimore regions. He is an expert in local government operations, budgeting, financing, workforce development and collaborative leadership. He worked for many years in various roles at the US Department of Commerce, and prior to that, led MainStreet Software.
The MIT Enterprise Forum exists to promote the growth, education and success of the entrepreneur and business community. The main MIT organization, and its global chapters, have been around since the early 1980s. The group is all about supporting entrepreneurs with events, educational sessions, mentors, experts and other resources. And since I (and the Social Web Tactics team) love business and entrepreneurs, this is a great organization to join and be active in.
Over the next few months, I will work with Matt and the rest of the MIT EF DC team on ways to grow the organization, create new content, and build out some really exciting events. Stay tuned…
