Attending a concert for The Machine, a Pink Floyd tribute band, at State Theatre in Falls Church, Virginia the other week, I liked how the band took time at the end of the show to say “thanks” to everyone who came out.
For those who are not familiar with The Machine, they have a tremendous following all across the country. Many people who come to their shows do so every time they come to town – year after year. It’s an amazing show, with the sounds and special effects that really connect people to the music of Pink Floyd. There is a real connection between everyone in the audience too – where you can end up talking with people you have never met before as if you have known one another your whole life.
The members of The Machine recognize the loyalty of their fans, and just how many people make seeing them “live” a priority. At the end of their concert on Saturday night, the band came out to take a picture of their fans, which they posted to their Facebook page. They thanked everyone for their loyalty and helping to keep the band going strong for so many years.
In the same spirit, I want to say “thank you” to everyone who has kept me going strong for so many years. And also a “thank you” to everyone who has “liked” our Social Web Tactics company page on Facebook recently, shared their thoughts on how we can do things better, and just been a supportive influence. You cannot accomplish anything in life without support. On behalf of the team at Social Web Tactics, I want you all to know that every bit of support everyone has provided thus far keeps us going strong and we appreciate it.
Thanks!
